Silo, a neighborhood in Broomfield, Colorado, is north of Denver and a suburb in the Greater Denver area. Near Route 36, Silo is an easy commute to anywhere in the Denver area. Homes in the area run in the median to upper median price range with many different styles and floor plans to choose from. There is a mix of townhomes and newer apartments in the area as well.
Much of the area has been built since the 1980s and there are nice wide roads and sidewalks, along with many views that you would expect to see in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
In Colorado, much land is devoted to open spaces and parks. Open spaces are undeveloped areas with hiking and bike trails to provide good exercise and the opportunity to view the natural world up close. Near to Silo is Standley Lake, with fishing and water activities, along with the Standley Lake North Open Space, with hiking and bike trails, and acres of natural rock formations and wildlife. Just to the north of that is the even bigger Colorado Hills Open Space. All of this within a 15 minute drive of Silo.
Sports fans have a smorgasbord in the Silo area. Denver is home to The Denver Broncos of the NFL, who play their home games on Sundays at Invesco Field in Denver. The Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball play at Coors Field, 2001 Blake Street, Denver, the highest field in the league with altitude on the hitter’s side. The Denver Nuggets of the NBA, and the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, share the Pepsi Center, at 1000 Chopper Circle in Denver as a home stadium. Not to be left out, the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer have a new Champion Cup to hoist at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park field complex at 6000 Victory Way.
