With its tree-lined streets near shops and restaurants, the Sable Ridge neighborhood is popular with residents of many different ages and backgrounds. As a partly business and partly residential neighborhood, Sable Ridge is a medium-sized community in Aurora, to the east of Denver.
East Mississippi Avenue serves as the northern border of Sable Ridge, while East Jewell Avenue marks the neighborhood’s southern border. Interstate 225 is considered its western border. The neighborhood boundary extends no farther east than South Sable Boulevard.
A big part of the neighborhood is the Abilene Street Market Shopping Center. People come from all over the local area to enjoy its shops, businesses, and restaurants, which include Bella Luna, Carpet Mill Outlet Store, Comcast, Amazing Jake’s, Verizon Wireless, and A Complete Auto Insurance. In addition, Michael’s Plaza Shopping Center is just to the east of the Sable Ridge.
Quality health care is available at the Aurora Regional Medical Center, which is within a half-mile walk of the community. Residents also have access to the Colorado Urgent Care Association, just a half-mile northwest of the neighborhood.
Sable Ridge is a popular neighborhood for dog owners, thanks to plentiful, sprawling lawns and nearby parks. Cherry Creek State Park offers an excellent off-leash dog park and picture-perfect views. Muttley Crew Pet Services offers dog sitting to any canine in the neighborhood, and the Tub Time Doggie Salon is within walking distance of Sable Ridge.
Within walking distance of the Sable Ridge neighborhood are Village Green Park, Wheeling Park, Jewell Wetlands Park, and Tierra Park. Utah Park is only a mile southwest of the community, which makes for a quick drive. Most people think that it is well worth the trip, as it hosts a water slide, play area, and leisure pool.
