Northwest Arvada is a quaint area located in just outside Denver in Arvada, Colorado. Living in this area presents many opportunities for one to enjoy both outdoor and recreational activities, as well as abundant shopping and dining. The residents of Northwest Arvada can keep their minds at ease for they are located right above the Arvada Police Department.
There are plenty of shopping centers in the area, as well as a large variety of stores along Ralston Road just south of Northwest Arvada. The Arvada Square shopping center is just a few minutes’ drive, and it houses a Chuck E. Cheeseās and a Safeway along with other shopping and dining establishments. The Arvada Marketplace Shopping Center is located to the south of the area, and the Fairplanes Shopping Center is found to the north.
Parks in the immediate area include Hokinson Park to the east, Creekside Park to the west, and to the south, the Mcllvory Park, which contains the Arvada Historical Society. All these parks are excellent for those who enjoy the outdoors and would like to participate in activities such as running or biking as either an individual or a member of a group. Other recreational activities in the area include the Indian Tree Golf Club or Willis Case Golf Course.
The Arvada Center for the Arts is a fantastic way to get involved with the community by participating in an indoor activity. The center is very versatile; it has programs for both the performing arts (theatre, music, and dance) as well as the visual arts (painting, photography, and ceramics). There are several camps in which you can enroll your child, as well as programs developed for adults. The Arvada Art Center even has a program dedicated to adults over the age of 55.
