Norfolk Glen is a quaint neighborhood located in Aurora, Colorado. There are several parks in close proximity to the neighborhood including Star K Ranch Park, Cottonwood Park, Terrace Park, Altura Park, along with several others within a fair driving distance. Aurora Sports Park and an Environmental Park are located to the southeast of Norfolk Glen. It is right next to a hospital and to the west of the neighborhood is a state of the art medical center.
The neighborhood itself is framed by the Star K Ranch Park, which has several family friendly trails to get some fresh air and exercise as well as the Morison Nature Center: a two hundred acre preserve that contains a variety of habitats from wetlands to small prairies.
There are several golfing venues in the area including Springhill Golf Course, Fitzsimons Golf Course, and Aurora Hills Golf Course. Norfolk Glen is an ideal community for one who is looking for a great place to play Sunday afternoon on the green with a group of friends or a solo morning of tee time.
The Aurora Sports Park is a unique sports venue for adults sixteen years of age older and a variety of sports programs for children as well. The adult leagues include baseball, softball, and volleyball while the youth program offers both sports camps for children to attend as well as dozens of different sports leagues to enroll them in during the fall, spring, and summer seasons.
Norfolk Glen is just north of the University of Colorado Hospital and east of University of Colorado Denver Anshutz Medical Center which houses the Children’s Hospital. According to The Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora it is the world’s only completely new education, research and patient care facility and the largest academic health center between Chicago, Texas and the West Coast.
