With its tree-lined streets and proximity to Denver, the medium-sized, middle-class neighborhood of Molholm Two Creeks in Lakewood is a growing community. It’s a primarily residential neighborhood, with a large variety of home styles. Visitors will find ranch-style homes, small bungalows, mobile homes, and classic, two-story American dwellings in addition to residences in other styles.
Molholm Two Creeks has an area of 1.984 square miles and a population of approximately 6,500 residents. It’s bordered to the north by West Colfax Avenue and to the south by the 6th Avenue Freeway. North Wadsworth Boulevard serves as its western boundary, while Sheridan Boulevard serves as its eastern border.
This is a particularly great area for the active resident. Mount Air Park is located within the neighborhood of Molholm Two Creeks. Within walking distance are a few other parks as well, among them Walker Branch Park and Washington Heights Park. Washington Heights Park has a playground for kids, a softball field, a baseball field, a soccer field, walking and hiking paths, a basketball court, and public restrooms.
The massive Lakewood Country Club takes up the southwestern portion of the Molholm Two Creeks community. It is an expensive, exclusive country club that many of the wealthier area residents enjoy. Members come from the Molholm Two Creeks neighborhood and surrounding communities for the club’s privileges. It offers dining facilities, a huge aqua center, extensive golf courses, and a fitness club.
The neighborhood of Molholm Two Creeks might truly be considered one of the most financially diverse in Denver, as it also has bus stops just steps from the country club. It is easy to navigate the community on foot or by bike. The bike stops along Sheridan Boulevard, West 10th Avenue, and Lamar Street are within walking distance of any point in the Molholm Two Creeks community.
