Heather Ridge is a neighborhood in Aurora, Colorado. The neighborhood is framed by Jewell Avenue to the north, Peoria Street to the west, Interstate 225 to the east, and Iliff Avenue to the south.
Heather Ridge Country Club is located on the southeast corner of the Heather Ridge neighborhood. This medium-sized golf course is popular with area residents and provides a well-groomed course that offers reasonable difficulty for all experience levels. The club also has a swimming pool and fitness center.
The southwest corner of Heather Ridge is a favorite destination for area bowlers. Brunswick Zone of Heather Ridge is a popular bowling alley. The bowling alley has 40 lanes, a billiards table, arcade games, snack bar, and a pro shop. Throughout the year the bowling alley has leagues for numerous age groups. It also hosts birthday parties and has event lock-in nights.
North of the bowling alley is Overland High School, which is connected to Prairie Middle School. The schools provide education to many of the students throughout the area.
Across from the schools on Jewell Avenue is Utah Park. This is a popular park for Heather Ridge and the surrounding neighborhoods. The park has three baseball fields, a large playground, and ten tennis courts. The fields are often used for a variety of other sports including soccer and football. The tennis courts are used regularly throughout the year for leagues and for individual play. Next to the tennis court complex is the Utah Pool Complex. This large pool area is popular with swimmers and those just looking to relax. Throughout Utah Park are many paved trails used for exercise by area walkers, runners, and cyclists.
