Far Horizons is a nice neighborhood located in Arvada, Colorado. It is in a suburban area that is just outside of the city of Denver, making it easy for the residents to visit the city with relative ease. Homes here are pretty standard style single story brick homes, many of which have garages, fenced in backyards, and well kept landscaping.

Families tend to look out for one another in this family oriented community, with many volunteering their time to the two area schools, Parr Elementary School and Little Elementary as crossing guards and monitors. During school days the roads fill with children walking or riding their bikes with friends as community members watch on ensuring their safety.

Parks within Far Horizons provide opportunities for neighbors to get together for a pot luck or Barbecue. The largest is Lake Arbor Park, home to Lake Arbor, which is a major part of the community. This park not only has picnic areas but is a great place for fishing and recreational boating. A large playground along the water is a favorite place for area children. Active residents also take to the park for the miles of pavement that provide excellent distance for runners, skaters, and cyclists. Many even visit Lake Arbor Park with their dogs allowing them an opportunity to socialize with other dogs.

Golf is also a big part of the community with many residents riding their golf carts through the neighborhood on their way to Lake Arbor Golf Club only a quarter of a mile from the heart of the neighborhood. The club is an important social spot for many in the neighborhood.

Along the northern border on 88th Avenue is where many go for shopping, dining with friends and family, and to enjoy a few brews at one of the many bars.
