City Center North is a neighborhood in Aurora, Colorado. The neighborhood is framed by 6th Avenue to the north, Abilene Street and Interstate 225 to the west, Alameda Parkway to the south, and Chambers Road to the east.
Shopping in the City Center North neighborhood is extremely easy. With numerous shopping venues located within a mile, it is difficult to go through the area without going past a big-name store. The most popular shopping area is half a mile to the south at the Town Center at Aurora. This large mall is the biggest in the area and draws in visitors from many surrounding neighborhoods. The mall features around 125 stores, most of which are major name brands. Some of the stores in the mall include Victoria’s Secret, Gap, Aeropostale, Dillard’s, JC Penney, Macy’s, Old Navy, Spencer Gifts, and Toys “R” Us Express.
The mall also has a large movie theater in the southeast corner. The Century Aurora 16 is a popular movie theater frequented by many area families and teenagers.
On the east side of the mall is City Center Park. This park is a beautifully landscaped area that features some high-traffic government offerings. City Center Park is home to the Aurora Police Department, the Aurora Public Library, and the Aurora Museum of History. The library is frequented by area students and job seekers, because it has many computers with Internet access. The library also offers numerous classes on computers, personal finance, and a variety of other topics. As for the museum, it is a hugely popular destination for field trips. The museum takes a look the history of the world in tandem with the history of the area.
For active area residents, to the east of the city is the High Line Canal Trail. This long trail provides miles of exercise for walkers, runners, and cyclists alike.
