Getting to and from the Central Business District is very convenient from this transportation hub. The district is served by light rail, the free 16th Street Mall shuttle, local bus service, regional bus service, and Amtrak train service is available at Union Station in LoDo.
Outdoor recreation is readily available to residents of the Central Business District. Residents can bike along the Cherry Creek bike path, play in the South Platte River at Confluence Park, or watch wildlife along the South Platte River Greenway. The popular Taste of Colorado is hosted in Civic Center Park every Labor Day weekend. The amusement rides at Elitch Gardens are always a popular activity in summer.
